    1. Unbelievable. That is the word I would use to describe this book. Not because the writing was bad, but OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! Like how many times is my heart going to speed up only to slow down and then accelerate again!?Do you know how many times I thought someone was about to die? Numerous. And I mean NUMEROUS. Like I have no idea how I handled this book because man, just when I thought things would be all gravy for a while, things went downhill right quick. Like who is going to even survive when [...]

    2. Hooow am I going to wait until book 3??? Whyyyy!! So I bought this right after I finished book 1, and now I have regrets because I have to wait until next year for book 3. Why did I do this to myself? lol! But after the cliffhangerish ending of book 1, I had to know what had happened to certain characters! One baddie was defeated in book 1, but another creepy villain stepped up. We of course, still have the looming threat of the Mistress rising, which climaxes really well. :) We have a few new P [...]

    3. Where is the next one? I want the next one for yesterday!*''We enter Amber Eyes with uncertainty but are quickly grabbed again by S. D Grimm’s world. Shifting between points of view we are travelling thousands of miles in a few pages, following every important character. The story unfolds quickly, our heroes being hunted from every direction. Being forced to get separated and fight multiple fronts. I can’t believe I have to wait another year before I can know what will be of my characters. We [...]

    4. Amber Eyes is book 2 in the Children of the Blood Moon series, and it didn't let me down! I enjoyed the progression of the story, and I can't wait to see what happens next!

    5. If Scarlet Moon was thrilling, Amber Eyes just upped the ante even further. I don’t know how I’m going to survive until January 2019 for Black Blood. (I mean, I will, but still…) On a pure visceral, emotional level, Grimm is a pro-manipulator. By the time you’re midway through the book, you’re struggling with hope and fear and joy and frustration and ALL THE FEELS. Which was why, after finishing the book on Friday night, I had to go to sleep to deal instead of writing the review right [...]

    7. I was very excited to have been invited to read and review Amber Eyes as part of the blog tour hosted by Unicorn Quester. This young adult fantasy series has a lot going for it; action, adventure, magic, family, friendship. Amber Eyes is the second in a three-part series, starting with Scarlet Moon and ending with Black Blood, which will be released January 2019. I had not heard of this series prior to being invited to the blog tour and I needed to do some catching up in order to review Amber Ey [...]

    9. When I signed up for this book, I had high hopes that it would be fantastic. There had seemed to be a lot of potential after the first and I was excited for the release of Enclave's first book after their hiatus. I had really enjoyed the character development of Jayden and her friends and wanted to see where Grimm took them.Yet the development I loved from the first seemed strangely absent in this. Jayden had less page time, and when she was given voice, she thought only of her feelings for Etha [...]

    10. Amber Eyes is the second book in the Children of the Blood Moon series. In this medieval saga, seventeen-year-old Jayden is revealed as a Deliverer after her family is murdered. Unsure of herself, she rejects her destiny. However, fighting against both her destiny and her enemies puts those she cares for at risk. Only by embracing her abilities and her role as a Deliverer, can Jayden become the protector needed to save the world from darkness and her people from extinction.Action-packed and well [...]

    11. Oh my goodness, it took so much self-control to put it down last night so I could sleep. It was so. good. When there’s solid characters with their own secrets and motives and goals, and they get thrown into a blender of trauma and difficulty, it’s bound to be a riveting story. Amber Eyes is exactly that. It picks up really soon after Scarlet Moon, and just takes off from there. The threads of romance weave with battle and loss in a masterful tapestry of tension. Just thinking about it gives [...]

    12. A wonderful followup to Grimm's debut novel. The characters were engaging and the story left me in suspense to the end.

    13. I don't generally care for speculative fiction, but this book was soooo good, I couldn't put it down! Still thinking about these characters, more than a month after I read it, and already looking forward to reading books 1 and 3!

    14. This is my review of Scarlet Moon AND Amber Eyes. This is my first time reading Christian fiction. I honestly didn't know that this was Christian fiction until I read some of the reviews of this book on :DI really liked these books. It reminded me of the Chronicles of Gensokai books - there is magic, love, fighting, healers and stuff. THERE ARE ALSO SO MANY MYTHICAL CREATURES IN THIS BOOK (have I ever mentioned how much I love mythical creatures?) - PEGASI (is that the plural of pegasus?), GRYPH [...]
