    1. It’s time to confess my love of the Ninja. As a kid, these silent, calm warriors felt like close buddies and allies with the cat burglars of the world. Conquering and exploring the night together. I SO wanted to be a cat burglar with a ninja at my side. BFF! :DNinja Boy Goes to School tells the story of how much trouble one mischievous ninja can get into by climbing and scaling his way out of school. “A ninja’s spirit is never caged.”A story chock full of trouble and imagination with art [...]

    2. A ninja at school? Would we even know? Fun book that looks at the challenges faced by a boy who must keep this secret.

    3. My 4yr old son low this story he love ninjas and adored this book I hope the author does more my son has mild autisim and likes specific things this ninja boy has a future!

    4. I want to be a ninga when i grow up. i watch american ninga warrior on tv. i wonder if they ever had trouble sitting still in school. i do.

    5. The illustrations here are the best part of this book, in my opinions, they are cartoonish with a lot of child appeal. This ninja story focuses on a boy pretending to be ninja at school and the challenges that brings. The book explains the skills that a ninja develops like being one with his surroundings and being as patient as a tree. But unfortunately, like many a person, Ninja Boy misuses his powers and must face the consequences. The text implies that the boy is a victim facing injustice whi [...]

    6. 3.5 out of 5 stars (rounded up)This is a fun book that delves into what it takes to be a ninja. Comparisons are drawn to nimble mountain goats, strong gorillas and silent ghosts which are all aspects that a ninja. He tries to use his “ninja” skills in school but it doesn’t go over so well. This is a nice story that kids of all ages will enjoy and possibly relate to playing “ninja” with their friends or by themselves. This may also give some of them new ideas and expand their imaginatio [...]

    7. If you were a ninja, maybe you'd understand He's not making any trouble on purpose, he's just being a ninja. I'd love to have this for the classroom. It would be a fun read aloud that could relate to school-rules discussionsor just for fun. Lots to infer! Lots of ninja vocab, too.

    8. A primer for ninjas! - great tips to get started. A tip from me to young ninjas - a great imagination is a must!

    9. I liked this one, not QUITE as much as the last Ninja Boy book I read. The art is still fantastic, but I don't care for the story as much as last time. Still pretty cute though.

    10. This book tells the story of a ninja going to school. It is full of humor and fun pictures. Young students will enjoy!

    11. This picture book harnesses readers' inner ninja. I loved the use of metaphors. This would act as a great mentor text.

    12. A young ninja explains the training he must undergo in order to perfect his ninja skills. Unfortunately, his skills are not properly appreciated by his fellow classmates or his teacher and he gets into trouble and has to see the principal. Although his parents punish him and take away all of his ninja gear, it is only a brief setback! The ninja remains confident and determined that he will achieve his goals. Funny and brightly illustrated with lots of action. Remember, "A ninja's spirit is never [...]

    13. Cute story about a little boy going to school. Having my own kids, this story is hilarious because I see these same emotions and defiance to be "a ninja" or an "octonaut" or whatever they want to be that day. I could easily see my own kids being like this as 5 year olds going to school. My young son loves it (as he loves repeatedly reading every ninja book we've had) and tries to make the motions like the boy - being a flamingo, goat, etc.

    14. Ninja Boy brings his imaginary ninja skills into the classroom at school, but it doesn't go well for him and he ends up in the principal's office, and further punishment when he arrives home after school, but his imagination isn't dampened.

    15. Because ninja boy disobeys and seems defiant through the end, I have at least two options. I can think that Wilson has sacrificed his Christian worldview on the altar of a humorous sell for young kids. Or I can think that my initial reading might not be accurate.I've chosen the later option (although my wife is waiting for the sequel to come out: Ninja Boy Gets a Spanking). I feel about this book the way I do about Calvin and Hobbes comics. Despite the authority figures' efforts to train him wel [...]

    16. Ninja boy takes his role very seriously, so much so he ignores snickers at the bus stop while he's in his flamingo pose and remains in character in the classroom too. Going so far as to sneak out the window to do some ninja stuff on the playground. When he's caught, he's sent to the principal's office and sent home to some angry parents. He remains silent and stealthy through it all claiming you'll know what it's like when you're a ninja. I just don't find it amusing or creative, I wasn't super [...]

    17. A young boy instructs readers on what one must do to become a ninja. For example, a ninja must stand like a flamingo without looking foolish, climb like a mountain goat (without the wool and horns). In school a ninja must blend in with his surroundings. A ninja must be able to leap like a gazelle. But when the young boy ninja leaps out a window at school he lands himself in the principal's office. The lessons on ninja-hood quickly turns to lessons on how to behave in the face of adversity (as in, [...]

    18. Falls flat. The text is Ok on its own, as are the pictures, but together they make for a rather underwhelming book. It's a pity--Hello Ninja, by the same author, is one of my son's favourite board books.

    19. At first glance, this is a short and silly book. BUT it could be used in a wonderful class discussion (at the beginning of the school year) about appropriate choices and behavior. Readers will have to use the pictures to truly understand what is going on in the story.

    20. The boy in this story is awesome at playing make-believe. He is Ninja Boy and goes through his day at school displaying his ninja skills. I love the unstated interaction between him and his teacher. This would make a fun read-aloud. 3 out of 5 stars.

    21. This ninja boy tells how to be a good ninja. While at school, he gets in trouble for his ninja ways and is sent home. A good ninja is the best when he can pretend not to be a ninja at all!Good for preschool or older kid storytimes.

    22. Another cute ninja story. I like all the descriptions of a ninja - the strength of a gorilla (but without the smell), a ninja's spirit is never caged, - and the illustrations are bright, like a comic.

    23. A good possible catalyst for a discussion of school rules when a Ninja Boy heads to school and gets reminded of what is appropriate and not. Some great use of tier two words to describe the characteristics of a Ninja.
