    1. Jason and Kyra was an AMAZING book. I LOVED IT SO MUCH I READ IT TWICE! It is actually one of my favorite books for the simple fact that it is real life. Every girl in high school wants a Jason and every boy wants a Kyra. The author of "Jason and Kyra" Dana Davidson, created a real high school scenario, Jason was the jock that all the girls wanted and Kyra was the ambitious girl in class that was all about her work. In the story, Kyra immediately grabbed Jasons attention and struck him as stunni [...]

    2. Jason Vincent is Cross High School’s most popular star basketball player, a secretly talented writer, and a boy with a troubled relationship with his verbally abusive father. Super-smart Kyra Evans dresses slightly funny and doesn’t do much to tame her hair, but she has a loving family and doesn’t care what people think of her, least of all the popular group that Jason runs with. Their lives were not supposed to cross in high school at all…until a fateful English research paper project b [...]

    3. As he walks down the halls of Cross High School, Jason feels like a star as the students act like paparazzi. He's the most popular guy at school and also the star athlete on the basketball team. Every girl wants to be his but the lucky one is Lisa, who happens to be the girl that EVERY guy wants. On first day of school Jason meets a girl named Kyra in his A.P English class. Kyra, on the other hand, is not the typical popular type Jason is used to hanging out with. Kyra is nice and classy, but no [...]

    4. I never thought a book could be so bad in my life. I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but this was the one book in my whole life that's ever disappointed me. Ever. Almost every book has something to offer even through their errors and typos. This one, was terrible. Horrible. The plot was interesting at a glance. After flipping about 50 to 100 pages in though, it was so obvious. It lacked suspense, foreshadowing, and just so much that my list'd be longer than Santa's on Christmas eve. Maybe Davids [...]

    5. I've read this book two times now. Both times I was disappointed. The plot was dry and predictable. The dialogue was sappy and boring. The author spent more time talking about the character's appearance and clothing than actually making 3-dimensional characters. Wasn't good at all, and I wouldn't even recommend it as a beach read.

    6. Jason Vincent is the star of Cross High's basketball team. Half of the girls at his college-prep school want him, but Lisa is his girlfriend and they've been together for a year. Jason doesn't have it in his heart to disrespect a female, so even though girls are in his face all of the time, flirting and giving him their phone numbers, he'd never actually cheat. There is one girl he's been eyeing since ninth grade, though. Her name is Kyra Evans. She's confident, she's smart and she's not trying [...]

    7. My sister suggested this book to and since she never got to read it, so immediately I was excited because somehow my sister knows what kinds of books I like. Anyway, Jason and Kyra is as predictable as a teen movie. I wasn't at all that impressed I was actually a little embarrassed which is sad to say.Jason is the popular basketball star that everyone loves to hang out with, has a popular (slutty) girlfriend, and is haven't problems with his father who often abuses him.Kyra is a hard working hon [...]

    8. The book that I read this time was Jason and Kyra. Jason and Kyra is a romance novel. The book is about two high school students from different sides of the social spectrum. Jason is a popular, handsome athlete and Kyra is a brainy, average, and independent girl. Jason and Kyra would have never met if it was not for a project that they were paired together to do. I would definitely recommend this book because of the interesting characters, the valuable lesson it teaches, and the good plot. The bo [...]

    9. Jason and KyraJason is a good guy. He goes to school and gets good grades. But he also has his own crew. They always tease him about being a nerd. But he knows there joking. Jason was in a smart class. AP English. Which Kyra had too. Jason and Kyra were assigned partners for a research paper in AP English. He had was attracted to her, but not by a lot. One day after school he was with his best friend, Greg, and saw Kyra. He said to Greg, "Check her out"(35), pointing and gazing at Kyra. Because [...]

    10. A basketball scholar calls his girlfriend she's pretty, has soft hair, and she's smart, and the most shocking part is compared to the other girls he has dated she's considered a geek. This is not the normal relationship for a basketball star and his girlfriend.Jason and Kyra by Dana Davidson is a book to show people what relationships really are. They dont have to go by the book thats why she made Jason and Kyra a couple they started off as friends and when they got to know each other they becam [...]

    11. "Jason and Kyra" is a romantic novel of the high basketball star (Jason Vincent). The guy with the cool friends and the cool girlfriend. Even though on the inside he's smart he would never tell his crew that. Then there's Kyra the girl with all A's and B's with a 4.0 GPA. Not that many friends and doesn't hang around many people. But she seems to capture the stars attention somehow. Jason soon sees the beauty that is within Kyra though he wants no one else to know. So when they're both forced to [...]

    12. This book is about two character Jason and Kyra who live two completely different lives. Until a while after they get to know each and both realize they are fit for each other and they are as bad as they thought. The two seemed to block everything else out, all the seemed to matter was their relationship. As things got serious they weren't sure that they were ready to get anymore serious, and take a step up in the relationship. I can make a text to world connections because some relationships th [...]

    13. I loved this book so much. Jason and Kyra was about how Jason was a popular basketball player in highschool that had a crush on a not so popular girl in school named Kyra. Even though Jason had a girlfriend named Lisa, who was one of the most beautiful girls in the High school he always wondered about the girl he saw every day in english class (Kyra). When there english teacher assigns them both (jason and Kyra)to do an essay together they fall in love. Jason didnt want to be with his stuck up, [...]

    17. yes it's sappy and at times predictable, but the two love-struck teens, Jason and Kyra, feel real and their story will move any hopeless romantic.

    18. A cute teenage love story. It is one of those books that is relatable to readers of all ages. You can literally see yourself in the characters in some form or another. Dana Davidson did a great job portraying the complexity of true teenage, lifetime love.

    19. Jason and Kyra by Dana Davidson, an improbable romance blossoms between two African-American students: Jason Vincent, basketball star and one of the most popular guys in school, and intelligent, but inexperienced Kyra Evans. Brought together by a class project, the two connect, finding friendship as well as romance. Unfortunately, as with all romance stories, this one is not without its problems. Together they must find a way past their families, their friends, and one vindictive ex-girlfriend.T [...]

    20. Ayanna MasonJason & KyraDana Davidson’s purpose for writing Jason & Kyra was to let her audience know that never judge a book by its cover. Learning new things from different people can also help you to connect with them. Jason & Kyra offers teens things that can be happening right now in our school. It teaches us that you may never know a person until you actually sit down and have a conversation with them. Jason & Kyra is a very romantic book that can leave readers in shock. [...]

    21. The book Jason and Kyra was written by the same author as Played Dana Davidson. This story takes place at Cross High School. By having the book take place in a high school it gave me a chance to relate to the book which convinced me to continue reading. These two individuals that happen to be the two main characters of the novel. They live very different lives, even though they share the same halls and classrooms. Jason Vincent is an all time star athlete on the basketball team at Cross, that ev [...]

    22. 23. Jason and Kyra is to different people. Jason is hot and popular and Kyra is smart and unknown. Jason notice Kyra in his AP english class. He saw how confident and beautiful she is. Kyra notice him too. They both got partnered up to do a paper for the first year. Because of that they got along well. Jason got to know Kyra more. He even tells her everything that he never tell his friends to. It's like Kyra understands. They talk on the phone and spend a little time together. To bad Jason got a gir [...]

    24. Jason is a basketball star and one of the most popular guys in school. Brainy Kyra isn't popular, but she doesn't much care what other people think. Under normal circumstances, Jason and Kyra would live in their separate worlds until graduation. But fate intervenes, and the unlikely duo is paired up for a class project. Although preconceived notions abound on both sides, Kyra soon realizes that Jason is not the dumb jock she anticipated. And Jason finds himself telling Kyra things he can't even [...]

    25. Jason & KyraDana Davidson, Jump at the sun HYPERION, 330Too young too care and adults too old to remember, a love story that will drive you insane. Normally, two people fall in love by going on dates. This “love” occurred while being at school without any notice. A teacher without knowing assigns both Kyra, one of the main characters, and Jason, another of the main characters, as partners for AP English class. Jason likes to play basketball and thinks he can get anyone he wants. While th [...]

    26. Jason & Kyra was a good read however it was the typical "high school jock meets nerdy girl grows to like each other and fall in love type of novel." This book was good but nothing spectacular. I would recomend for those who are into love stories and teens like me, just for a causal read. Brief summary: Jason is like the star basketball player in high school who's very popular and hangs with the rest of the jocks, and the "in crowd". Kyra on the other hand is sort of on the un cool kids list, [...]

    27. There's some days that I want to read some regular romance and take a break with paranormal beings in love with humans. This was the book I was looking for.So, we have Jason and Kyra, two opposites. Jason is popular, handsome, and his girlfriend is the bitchiest and most beautiful girl in school. And Kyra is super-smart, pretty enough, confident enough--and not popular. You don't normally expect this couple to get together. But destiny took charge of that, and they did. Lisa--Jason's ex-girlfrien [...]

    28. This was a really good book. But you, know, today I was thinking about the discussion we had in class about certain books written by black authors being stereotypical and how they only talk about a few things: drugs, gangs and wellx. Well, I guess this book kind of proved some of those people wrong. Well kind of anyway. The story itself wasn't really what was great. I mean, it was good, don't get me wrong. But you know what really killed me? The fact that these black people were RICH. You don't [...]
